Good Investing

Love working with Good Investing. I am risk-adverse and sceptical about the financial system overall. For the longest time I could not find a financial advisor who could meet my expectations in terms of sustainability and making things simple. I took their online course and then Tim helped me with some questions. They are super helpful and have changed my perspective on so many things.... 100% recommended

Tim is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely believes in the work that he does. Not only was he able to answer all my questions, his advice helped me find ways to save on fees and receive bonuses. Working with Tim is already paying for itself. I don't think I could have found a better advisor if I tried!

Working with Tim was the best financial decision we ever made! As a conservation scientist, I was leery to get into investing and super picky about where our money goes. Tim patiently walked us through our options of 'doing more good/doing less evil'. Not to mention he PATIENTLY walked a couple of novices through investing 101 (seriously - so patient). Now if Tim could just clone himself so that everyone can understand sustainable investing that would be great.

Tim and Team are such a breath of fresh air! It is so nice to have a knowledgeable investment team that also actually understands what sustainability is. No greenwashing, they tell you how it is. No matter your Eco credit or desires, from Greenpeace hippies to Bay Street buffs these guys will help guide you and your money! Thanks guys!!

Working with Good Investing has been my best financial decision ever. Before choosing them, I carefully considered several options, including well known firms and other consultants with whom I had several informational calls and meetings. There was nothing I found that could compete with their offer, because Tim has created *exactly* what I was looking for. Three reasons for this: 1) I wanted to develop my own ability to invest, rather than become dependent on somebody else; that's exactly that Tim does: his approach is all about education, empowerment, making it easy and removing the knowledge and emotional barriers that prevented me from taking action in the past. After learning from him, I feel confident in making sound investment decisions, appropriate to the level of risk I'm comfortable with. 2) When it comes to investing in ways that are aligned with my values, there simply is not cookie-cutter approach; what feels right to me is different than what feels right to you; mapping my personal value onto the choice of specific investments was something that no other firm out there could do...because nobody else can do it for me. I need to be able to do it myself; which is why the coaching-educational approach that Tim uses is The Winner. Ethical investing requires education, and Tim makes such education manageable, focused, value-relevant and exciting. 3) I didn't want to pay thousands of dollars every year for the rest of my life to someone to manage my investments; with Tim, I paid his very reasonable honorarium once to receive his coaching, and now that I have that knowledge, I can use the money I save to invest rather than to pay an advisor! Plus I know that if I need specific support I can always hire him for some extra help. Highly, highly recommended if investing and staying true to your values are both important to you
