After using Acre Studio for our modern Toronto residence a few years back, we asked if they would help with our summer home near Collingwood. It's a rural property and we needed to put in a new driveway, pond, and tree planting in addition to the patio and pool at the house. We were really impressed with Sylvie's ability to see the overall vision and work with the existing topography and site conditions. When construction was completed, everything immediatelyfelt like it belonged, and we're really happy to see how much the new work enhanced the overall site.

I had what I considered a bit of a "sticky wicket" from a landscape design perspective. Our house door was 5' above grade, the property was encumbered by setbacks and existing trees, and I wanted a pool and outbuildings. I met with a few designers, but I hired Acre Studio as they had an excellent understanding of how to work with these conditions. I was very happy with the unique designs they presented, and they were a great resource to have throughout the permit and construction phases as well. We had a very good experience with Acre Studio. From day one we knew we were in capable hands, Sylvie's experience and professionalism guided us through the permitting process, and the design was original and aligned with our hope-for aesthetic (of course we had to make some compromises, but those were based on our budget). We had her stay on the project throughout the construction. She was quick to respond to questions and was very solution-oriented when obstacles like covid material shortages came up (and very honest about the inflation of cost; that helped us prepare). She worked well with our contractors and we are very pleased with the end result. Service: Landscape design
