Very outraged. I went in early afternoon on a Wednesday to cash a cheque . She pointed out that there was already a signature on it and things would take a minute I left for a few minutes and returned. The woman was being rude and dismissive to another customer. When I got to the counter , I was told that my Govn't cheque couldn't be cashed because it was signed twice. It was my signature, my picture and my cheque cashing activity that came up on her monitor so why was this an issue? I asked what the problem was and she told me that I couldn't cash my cheque , then unknown to me, she flagged my cheque so I couldn't even cash it at another location. She was obviously in a bad mood and I dont feel that I should have to suffer because of that. Seeing that any problem with a signature before was fixed with a simple initial there is no reason why this couldn't have been resolved then and there. Having used Money Mart for over two decades I dont feel that her reaction was warranted. Fees are increasing and customer service is decreasing and part of her job is to assist clients not to be blatantly rude and make their lives more difficult. An official complaint has been filed with head office and hope this will not happen to anyone else.
