Dropped by for a covid 19 assessment after developing a couple of symptoms as a precautionary action, but I have to say the woman who took the sample was straight disrespectful and degenerating. I arrived at U-wing 15 min after 12 noon (the walk-in hours are 12-7:30pm for weekdays) on Thursday July 23rd. Staying in the line for slightly more than an hour, I reached the building entrance. Along the way a form was provided to fill out. As I enter the building I sanitized my hands and provided the form against the clear barrier, behind which there was a receptionist/person who took down the information asking if I have any symptoms. After which I was given a package how to check thetest ressults online and of more info on covid-19. I was asked to sit on one of the chairs that are tagged with unique numbers. Minutes after my name was called by a middle aged, slightly oversized caucasian female who were covered by protective gears. This is where things start to escalate. I came over after she called my name, obviously still keeping the 2m distance but as I was approaching she waived her hands at my face what seems to have meant to get out of her way. For those of you who had been to the testing center there is a divided area betweeen waiting and testing areas. I was only standing to the left corner of the entrance but the lady still abrubptly told me to get out of her way. I think she wanted to reach my chair where I was seated to put up a sign. She said this when there was a clear path to her left (to my right). And from here on I felt uncomfortable. After she placed the sign on the chair she came back to where I was (again came back using the same path) where thereis so little space where I had to stand my toes to barely make enough social space. She brought me to one of the testing booths, the first one on the left, finger pointing to the chair without saying anything. I asked her "you want me tosit down?" then she goes "yes" bluntly. In the meantime she took the sample swab out asking me if I have symptoms. Then further asking if I had been going out. I had not been going out nor both on a personal and business reasons so I said no. Finally it came to a time where she had to stick the swab into my nose, she began with my left one but she actually stuck the swab at once and abrubtly shook it for good 5-7 seconds. Using the same swab she stuck the swab to my right side of nostril but this time less violent and for much shorter, 3 seconds more or less. As I was exiting the testing booth she said "you will go straight to your home and wait for the result." For those of you who haven't caught where the problems are out of my experience above, I will be very direct. 1. The lady who took the sample failed to show respect for the patients maintaining her commanding and authoritative attitude making the patient feel not only uncomfortable but making it feel as if a less of a human being. 2. When she took me to the testing booth she could've just said out loud with clear instructions as I'm perfectly capable of English communication being born here. 3. I had to do the research how the samples are collected and the lady used unnecessary forces shoving my nostril causing unneeded pains. 4. To the last, she was giving me orders as if she's a person above me. Knowing my part of the responsibility yes I was headed home directly and told her exactly that. I am not sure if this is some sort of a power play she's laying out to all of her patients or to a specific target group based on hate but I had to walk out the testing center with so much grief.
