Shaleen Sulway is amazing and literally changed my life. Diagnosed my concussion issues and implemented a therapy that immediately showed results after a year of trying other remedies.

Warning for concussion patients with sensitivity to movements: the vestibular/balance assessment includes parts when the patient's head is forced in jerky up/down sudden movements (which they call head impulses) and side to side rapid movements, which can trigger up the symptoms significantly for concussion patients and can set you back, basically re-injuring you. Although they say that majority of patients do not flare up for more that a day, you may not be a majority patient, and I was set back for 2-3 weeks after this assessment. The protocol will not be adjusted for you even if you specify prior to the procedure that you are sensitive even to slight movements. So, you may choose to avoid going through this vestibular/balance assessment if you think these jerky movements could re-injure you and set you back.

Dealing with vestibular disorders is incredibly debilitating, and finding good quality vestibular rehab just adds to the stress. Both of those problems are solved by Shaleen, who is probably one of the best vestibular physiotherapists in all of Toronto. Her professionalism, expertise, and compassion make for an all around experience that leaves you with the tools you need to take control of your vestibular rehab. I'd recommend Vestibular Health to anyone looking for excellent vestibular rehab - this is the place to go.
