The experience was great and very smooth. Faster than we expected and were finally able to start our start up with the help of futurpreneur and BDC. Our agents Michka and Andrew were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make things smoother.

I recently got a business loan from Futurpreneur Canada and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The team was incredibly professional, caring, and attentive throughout the entire process. Special shoutout to Paul, who led me through the process and was absolutely amazing. He genuinely wants you to succeed and his support and guidance made all the difference. I highly recommend Futurpreneur Canada to anyone looking to start or grow their business. Thank you, Futurpreneur Canada, for everything!

*Original review* Made it through the lengthy process when I was just starting out. I regret it entirely. The application process did not provide a user friendly understanding of the re-payment schedule, and its fluctuating interest rate. I admit I was a bit naive, thinking this program was to help entrepreneurs, and having little experience with loans personally. I do not feel there are any benefits to being a part of this program. I would have gone with a line of credit for my small venture in hindsight. * EDIT post response* I understand my own financial literacy is to blame for my decision to accept my offer into the futurpreneur loan program. I would however argue its very important for non-proft loan programs like this to operate with considerably more transparency and due diligence when it comes to communicating interest rates and repayment. Going into a regular bank you know they want your money. Going into a non-profit you might not be as careful or show more trust. (Lesson learned!) I see plenty of other concerning reviews. I also see the positive reviews, praising their assigned mentors. Personally my mentor was not experienced in regards to retail as I had requested. He stopped responding to my questions, so I did not feel motivated to spend the time and energy to request a new mentor. I am happy for those who found help through the program that made the loan worth it.

Worst experience ever. Futureneurs wasted my time, lost my application for almost a month (found it in the indigenous business category- I'm not indigenous and did not apply for that program) were not transparent about the disbursement of funds, hidden fees, representatives are unprofessional,(Elissa), took several days to get back to me each time and I was treated disrespectfully. They wanted me to argue with BMO about the aesthetics of their direct deposit form and claimed they "couldn't deposit" my funds because it was not the way they wanted it to look. As if banks have the ability to adjust the aesthetic of their forms. They were upset because I didn't sign in the "right colour of blue ink". I actually have a laundry list of items that not even the bank of Canada considers an issue (I called both my bank and Bank of Canada). At the end of the day, I ended up just going to my bank, it was faster, easier, lower interest rates, better resources and I was treated professionally. I highly do not recommend getting involved with the nightmare of juveniles called Futureneurs. EDIT: as a savvy business owner, I'm aware of the loan process and came prepared. My issue was not with the difficulty of providing you with information but with the unprofessional, misinformed representative. For example if I've provided NOAs and my CRA portal and accountant all tell me my taxes have been filled, then Elissa telling me I did not file them is unhelpful. It's very clear I did and I provided proof and can't seem to understand where the heck she is getting her information from. Furthermore, she also was asking me to file my 2022 taxes before they were even due, again a fact. This was overall a terrible experience and your answer tells me you didn't fully grasp just how unprofessional and knowledgable the Futureneurs team was.
