Very thorough, friendly and overall a great practitioner! He spends the time to explain everything in detail! I even come all the way from Ottawa to see him!!

Dr. Eltis is great! Ive been his patient for many years. He takes his time to ensure concerns are addressed, is very understanding, and genuinely cares about his patients. I do not feel rushed through appointments and am comfortable asking questions. The office is extremely clean and the fact that the staff follow safety protocols is much appreciated. Even though I have moved away from downtown, I continue to make the long trip to see him for my vision care for the reasons stated above.

Dr. Eltis is beyond amazing. He provides very thorough and detailed care. Hes an exceptionally patient doctor who genuinely cares about his patients. I suffered from sever dry eye and Blepharitis for 5 years until I met Dr. Eltis. I was previously treated by two other optometrists who were of no help. Dr. Eltis was my last hope. He took time to explain my condition and treatment options. Dr. Eltis is highly qualified, experienced, and passionate about optometry. He has a lovely bedside manner. Because of him my condition has improved immensely. He takes the time to respond to any questions you have even after your appointment. Dr. Eltis noticed irregularities with the veins in my eyes and asked if I had high blood pressure. It prompted me to have a blood test and discovered I have underlying health issues. I would never have known this if it wasn't for him. I cannot speak more highly of Dr. Eltis. The staff is always helpful and my experience with other medical professionals in the office has been positive.

Dr. Eltis is an expert in the field of optometry and I am lucky to have learned directly from him. Im currently an optometry student and I job shadowed Dr. Eltis for a few days to learn from him what it means to be an optometrist. Dr. Eltis was amazing with all of his patients! I observed him perform a wide variety of procedures, including treatments for dry eye relief, check ups with patients at higher risk for glaucoma (to monitor any early signs of glaucoma and be able to treat the disease as early as possible) and pediatric eye exams. Dr. Eltis is very thorough with all his appointments and takes the time to make sure his patients understand everything he is doing, give them all possible treatment options and answer any questions they may have. Other than working directly with patients, he has also published optometric research, teaches at the University of Waterloo, and was an examiner for the national board exam (which is the license needed by future optometrists to be able to practice in the country). Dr. Eltis is dedicated to his work and I am very thankful to him for allowing me to observe his work and being a huge source of information about optometry schools, and my future career.

Dr. Mark Eltis is simply the best optometrist in Toronto. He is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and patient. Recently, my little ones left eye was swollen. Dr. Eltis recommended the best treatment for her and she was better the best day. It is very rare to have a doctor that has his patients best interest all the time. I highly recommend him to everyone. He truly deserves 5 stars and beyond!
