Small public park just east of Yonge street on Dundonald. There is a plaque that reads: In Memory Of James Canning March 19, 1913 - December 28, 1999. James Canning loved the city of Toronto for its beauty and its many cultural treasures. In appreciation, he requested that this park be given to the people of Toronto. Below are a few lines from "A Children's Song" by Rudyard Kipling, which express James Canning's philosophy. Teach us Delight in Simple things, and mirth that has no bitter springs; Forgiveness free of evil done, and love to all men 'neath the sun! A great space downtown. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area.
