There were monkey bars and the park had sand.
But another thing I liked about it was that the structures were high and older kids could also use it as well as younger kids.
There are pros to the newest park build, such as moving the fence more to the street which makes it larger, I also like how they reused the swings from the older park. I also like the layout of the park. But when it comes to the structures they put in, I personally don't like it. Its great if you have toddlers or small kids but when you get around the age of 10 and up, its not meant for them. It looks like every other design of park that the city puts in. It no longer has sand either.
There is also this weird slide they put in on this hill in the park, and it has bumps that are close together. Not sure if thats suppose to be a safety feature so the kid doesn't go flying down the slide or for fun but it looks painful to slide- no more like bump down.
There is a field next to the park with a baseball diamond and a school close by which is great for the school kids because the park is so close. There is also a small kiddy pool that is also very nice and opens in the summer times.
