Small school but youll learn a lot about systemic oppression and social issues that other schools wont tell you!

Personally, I've found high school and university drastically less stressful and to have lower or more developmentally appropriate workloads. In my time at the school, there was little privacy in terms of academic standing. The names of students with overdue assignments were included on the time management sheets, my name and one other were once posted on a door as the only two students to have successfully completed an assignment; general poor boundaries resulted in social pressure on academic achievers and devaluation/subtle shaming for lack of achievement. Certain teachers had a tendency to talk over lived experience when discussing systemic oppression. The educational quality was fairly high and I did learn about a variety of global and justice issues, but, as indicated before, there were considerable issues in the classroom dynamic and some huge decontextualizing or over-simplifying. Don't treat the school as a catch-all "justice" education and realize it is embedded in oppressive systems itself. Handled major issues in the school poorly, with significant consequences for short and long-term mental health. No detail to protect confidentiality.
