Palmerston Avenue Junior Public School

I started JK here 43 years ago! I lived right across from the school on Barton Ave. Attended through the 80's right up to grade 6. Ms.Bythel was my kindergarten teacher, Ms.Fisher my grade 5 teacher and others I can't even remember their names but amazing teachers at this school back then for the most part. Mrs.Sullivan was principal then, such a classy lady. Top notch public school education here and lots of great field trips and programs. Inner City Angels balloon race. So much fun! I moved up north in the early 90's and have my own children now. I wish they could have attended this school. I imagine it's still a fantastic school. Thank you Palmerston for giving me a solid start in learning and lots of great memories. All schools should be like this.

I am 86 years old and attended Palmerston Public School from Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school was two separate buildings then. I believe one was the original and the other building was added later. Not sure what year the other building was built. Fond memories of those years.

I went to Palmerston Public School 56 years ago and it was an awesome experience. The Teachers were great and cared a great deal about the students and where quite communicative with the students and the parents if any issues. Loved it there. I still remember Mrs. Shore :)

I went to this school. I have good memories. I love the original building. I went to kindergarten in the large room at the front.
