This was the first time I bought a house, and I had a mostly bitter experience with our buyer agent Mirajul Islam. Cons : -Hides crucial information about the property you are buying (Date built, furnace age, etc) so he can make a sale -Hires a private home inspector who provides an inaccurate report so you don't see the real issues with the property (He hired Syed Shah Munir from HITES INSPECTION INC). -He is late in responding to crucial concerns. -The issue with our house was that the basement furnace is not operational. This made it really cold when we moved in. When we asked for more information about the furnace, he said it's not his concern anymore. -He does not take any responsibility in gathering information about the property. His excuse is, "I don't have the information". -Before/During/After the property purchase, he was very uncooperative about providing us with important details. Pros : - Has a good understanding of the neighborhood Buyers beware. If your relator is hiring a private home inspector they know personally, they are working together to provide an incorrect report to quickly make a 2.5% commission.
