The food was fine, nothing exceptional given the prices. The items are priced quite high for the portions. It was $23 for a tiny bowl of noodles. They dont list a description of the menu items so it takes a while to order as the wait staff have to explain everything. Even some like a menu item listed as pickles isnt actually pickles. It ends up being pickled vegetables not actual pickles so you really have to clarify every dish. Its a very pork and beef heavy menu for the more substantial dishes otherwise its mostly small sides. They do a good job of creating a Japanese style restaurant with the decor. Theres no reservations and very limited tables. Half the seating is at the bar. They charge 2.5% for credit card payments and can do split bills.

Reallly good &unique food but the restaurant is pretty small so had to wait 1 hour +. Theres only 3 tables + the bar. I especially loved the monk fish liver with seaweed. The seaweed was so crispy and fresh and the liver was not fishy at all and I normally do not like liver! Tonkatsu Sando with the curry gravy was another favourite of mine and I normally dont like curry lol beef tare tare was also addictive. Again, I usually am skeptical of beef taretare as well because Im scared of eating raw raw meat but this was delicious. The sauce had some sort of seeds (like Dijon mustard seeds) in it that gave it a nice crunch & tang
