My former colleague was affected by the Shopify layoffs last week and I was also sad from the recent passing of my cat. We decided to cheer ourselves up with oysters at Island Oysters. It was a great decision, we ate 3 dozen oysters; 2 rounds of Blue Point and 1 round of Kubi. Additionally we also had the smoked mackerel dip and the scallop plate. The best thing we had were the Kubi oysters, which were so incredibly tasty. The only drawback was that we had asked for Black Point as the last round of oysters and were served Blue Point since they ran out of Black Point, without us knowing this happened. If we had been told that they were out of that item, we would have likely just tried another variety of oysters since we did not want to do any repeats. Nonetheless, the experience was 5/5 because of how amazing the oysters were!
