Last year We were lucky enough to be chosen to be the new family for a tiny little rescued chihuahua Zoe She has been the best dog ever!!! She came fully potty trained along with a bunch of adorable tricks that she loves showing off to anyone visiting us. The rescuers moved their base from Toronto to a better place more suited to rescuing more dogs. They are so dedicated that they up and left Toronto for the sake of the rescue. They are angels on earth! We are so thankful for rescuers like this that care so much about the quality of animals lives. they deserve an award!!! I cant say enough about how thankful we are for them.

Jeff and Kate truly care about all of the animals that they see. They've provided us with a lot of help and insight into our very anxious and reactive dog. I would recommend them to anyone.

The Interactive Dog Rescue Training & Psychology Centre rescues dogs that everyone else has given up on. We are so glad that they do. We recently added the newest member to our family from the rescue centre. Beck, a four year old male Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix was scheduled for destruction because he bit someone. He is a very well trained, loving, loyal dog who only needs more exercise and companionship. Instead of receiving this type of life, he was sedated to calm him down. There is not a vicious, aggressive bone in his body. We were told that he has issues getting his nails cut and that he was sedated and muzzled during visits to the veterinarian. We recently had his nails cut and the hair trimmed on his feet and he barely moved. Last week at the veterinarian visit, where he had a full examination and needles, he did not struggle and kissed the vet! NO SEDATION OR MUZZEL! We stayed with him every minute during these appointments. I take him on regular pack walks which includes up to 20 dogs and he has never acted out aggressively. If anything, he avoids any and all confrontation. What a shame it would be if Beck had not entered our life! He is truly a blessing! We are very thankful for him and for Jeff and Kate at the Rescue Centre for saving his life and allowing us to be a part of his.

Jeff and Kate are the most amazing and caring people and they take incredible care of their dogs. Most of their surrenders are from people who do not fully understand the commitment to own a dog and end up regretting and neglecting the dog. People also come up with the most insane lies and excuses as to why they want to surrender in fear of being negatively judged. At the end of the day the dogs wellbeing comes first. If you cannot handle a dog, just be honest about it and they will find someone who is able to handle the dog. They take time to fully evaluate their dogs considering most dogs come in with trauma and stress from all the neglect they've experienced. Let me be clear - if you adopt a rescue dog and your expecting a perfect teddy bear, you're in for a rude awakening. owning a dog is like owning a child and most people who want to adopt a dog do not want children. You're also dealing with a non verbal animal - not a teddy bear. They have different personalities, likes and dislikes and different ways of communicating that. I f you need help understanding your dog Jeff and Kate are always there to help and very responsive. Jeff and Kate spend every day taking care of dogs with little to no help. A huge thank you is in order to them for doing the work that other people do not want to do. Thank you!
