Lately I have been giving many talks about my artwork. Usually at the end of each I was exhausted and my vocal cords where in pain. I searched for help and found Jay ... what a difference it made. After a brief period of working with him not only do I not get tired or have pain after hours of talking but, I feel I have learned to use my voice in a more engaging way helping me to consistently retain the attention of my listeners. The classes have been a time well spend, I highly recommend learning what he has to teach.

It was a great pleasure to work with Jay at Speech & Voice during the past two months. Before joining this training program, I was a very nervous speaker and often had problems of pausing and taking breaths between sentences. I was too nervous that I often wanted to dash to the end of my speech. This resulted in unclear speeches during presentations of projects and our clients often could not follow what I said. My manager referred me to Jay and encouraged me to enroll in Jays course to improve my speech. During the training, Jay introduced 3 most important components to have good speech & voice: Relaxation, Breath, and Resonance. We went through the crucial skills for each of the 3 aspects in detail and the course really helped me a lot. After finishing the training session, when I was speaking to my colleagues or presenting to my clients, they all gave me positive feedbacks and the effects were quite noticeable. Im now more confident when speaking in public. I think I will carry on the weekly practice and hopefully those skills I learned would become my lifelong assets! I highly recommend people with the same issues (nervousness, speaking too fast etc..) to enroll in Speech & Voice training. Im sure you will benefit from this course.

Every time I had to speak in public or record a voice-over I had a tendency to unconsciously speak in my announcer voice which was not appealing, caused throat pain and took away from my natural voice. Jay was the first teacher to immediately recognize and explain my issue and worked with me to discover and learn to speak with my middle voice. After a few weeks and lots of practice, my throat pain was gone and I was communicating at a much more natural and clear level. Even my wife noticed the difference in casual conversation and how much better I was sounding. Im still working with Jay and highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their voice and communication skills. Thank you Jay!

I never knew the simple act of speaking, which we take for granted, could become so enjoyable until my training with Jay. Prior to the training, I knew I wanted to sound better, but did not know what that really meant. Jay personalized his training and helped me discover what it meant to have, and more importantly, how to achieve a better voice. In 3 months, I noticed a substantial improvement in the fullness and resonance of my voice. When listening to my own recording 3 months ago, I could not believe how flat and shallow my voice used to be. Jay is an experienced, personable and patient teacher, who conducts his training with a very holistic approach. Our class was truly a highlight that I looked forward to every week during this pandemic! Whether you think you have a good voice or not, I believe everyone can benefit from working with Jay. Youll learn how your voice works and how to improve it, and you will also develop a composed speaking cadence and voice that are engaging and enjoyable to listen to.

I decided to work with Voice & Speech when I discovered this course through a very helpful detailed YouTube on speaking slower. I watched one of the videos on the channel and saw that this was being offered and immediately signed up. I benefitted from working with Voice & Speech because I had someone to cater to my voice and make a personalized plan for my speech to ensure progress for me. Along with my daily practice I can catch and correct myself when speaking and, I am able to speak clearer for longer amounts of time. I definitely notice the difference on my speech when I havent done my exercises in a while. My speech isnt perfect yet as that takes time but I can notice progress. I would recommend this service to someone looking for guidance and individual focus for their voice. Mr. Miller was so respectful and patient each session which made it comfortable for me to participate.
