Made a manicure appointment a while ago for my daughter's wedding and the Ten Spot just called and cancelled it - don't have a technician available. Hugely disappointing! So much for booking well in advance! A shame - close to home so had been hoping it would become a go to place for me.

TLDR: I expect better attention to details and better skills from the technicians for the prices. Shellac mani 4/5. Regular mani 1/5 at best. Received a gift card so decided to give this location a try. Once for shellac mani and another for regular mani. Pros: Good colour selections and very clean. Staff seems friendly. Cons: For shellac, was generally okay but the technician didnt catch a dust particle on one of the nails. So my nails got baked with it. I would still give the shellac mani a 4 star - the technician was great otherwise and I felt taken care of. Regular mani was terrible. I had booked the appointment to get some cuticle care but the technician didnt push back my cuticles at all. When I asked her to work on my cuticles, she said that she couldnt because they werent dead skin. The technician from my previous visit at this location (and from other nail shops) had no issues with it before so Im not sure where the disconnect had come from. She also did a very poor job in applying the polish - not thorough and uneven distribution. I dont expect regular polish to stay long but I had hoped for the longevity to be improved as done by a professional. That was not the case and it felt like the technician lacked experience/skills. To be completely honest, I have had a friend, whos not a professional but paints her nails often, do a better job. I didnt feel it was worth the price at all and would give the regular mani a 1 star at best. Im glad I gave the place a try but I would not go back, especially without a gift card. There are so many other better places that make you feel the experience was worth it.

I got a shellac manicure here but wasn't completely satisfied at first. So, when I shared it with them, they were so nice and friendly and offered me a couple of options to compensate for the bad experience. I accepted one, and I thank them again for doing this :)
