Had the worst experience we searched for a unisex salon near us when we were on vacation in Toronto. Somehow, after seeing some positive reviews, we chose this salon in our search results. My wife wanted to do some waxing work and I wanted to have a haircut. Initially, the salon staff refused to do a haircut for me (said she was very busy as this was the only salon open on Monday). But, my bad, my wife convinced the salon staff to do a haircut for me... We went finally to the shop and she started from my head. I showed her a reference pic for my haircut. She is like, in very urge and running the trimmer around my head like a mowing machine... I'm Very sure she is not at all competent for this job. And, when I asked to do my beard shaping, she openly said that she doesn't know because it was a barber thing. OMG... Now I could see the clear pic.... Eventually, she spoiled my head. The finishing was not even close to the reference I gave... Also, yes I paid around 100$ for someone who spoiled my head and Toronto trip... My intention is not to revenge on the store but to warn the people who read the reviews before approaching any services. I would have saved myself from this store if someone told me about this earlier.

I came here on a weekday afternoon (they have a special discount if you come before 5pm, I can't remember - check the website). It was busy but not overly crowded. There is a social atmosphere but it wasn't too noisy to disturb the peaceful ambiance. They didn't ask if I wanted to rent a towel and I didn't have my own. I only realized after changing and going to the bath area that the towels are not included - so just a note to ask for one at the start. They do not allow you to wear shoes in the baths area, so I did not pack my flip flops. I wish I had though, because you ARE allowed to wear them in the change room and showers area. I did come prepared with my swimsuit and swim cap (which is mandatory) though. The spa is spread out over 2 floors and very spacious. Since it was February when I went, I did not go outside since it was cold. But I can imagine in the warmer months it would be nice to add a dip in the sea as part of the circuit. The first floor has a large sea water pool with different jets to massage different areas. There is a jacuzzi overlooking La Concha beach. Then there is another large bath with a waterfall. In the lower level, there is a pool with exercise equipment. I tried the under water bicycle but there wasn't much resistance (maybe there was a way to adjust that, I couldn't figure it out!). There is a quiet lounge area with water beds. Then there are another area with 2 saunas and 2 steam rooms and lounge chairs. Finally there is a refreshing cold plunge pool. The facilities probably haven't been updated in a while and there are fancier spas in the city such the Arima Hotel. But La Perla has a long history and an unbeatable location. I found the price very reasonable too. I spent 2 hours there for 24 euros and it was great value. I could have stayed longer but in 2 hours I did get to try all the different facillities. They don't provide a lot of extras (e.g. robes, body lotion, plastic bags for your wet swimsuit). There is only one water fountain. They do provide body wash (I read in one review there wasn't any) -- it is in a communal dispenser though, outside the shower. So you have to load up your hand with soap before entering the shower which is a bit cumbersome. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner and other toiletries.
