Reitmans

Super nice associates, I was there 23/03/28 early afternoon. Both staff members were excellent and helped with product suggestions. Reitmans is now my first choice.

Haven't been to The Duff since December 2019 (taking COVID seriously took the shine off the uniqueness that is The Duff)...thanks to Reitman's super disinterested staff, including an eye roll (I didn't want to share my email) and complete absence of even a shadow of retail engagement (I'd have been content with a fake smile! I'm easy to please.) my first foray back was as underwhelming as I remembered. It's like the last 2.5 years hadn't happened.

Went in to browse quickly at items before the store closed, my boyfriend mentioned to me that one of the sales associate (short asian with black hair and front bangs) asked us if we needed help but in a tone where she wanted us to leave the store. I didnt hear her so I continued on browsing. After 5 minutes of looking, decided nothing caught my eye and went to leave the store. They had closed the gate on us and there was no one by the door to let us out. I was annoyed and opened the gate and when we came out of the store my boyfriend turned around and saw that the same sales associate was flicking both her middle fingers at us in annoyance. When he told me that I went back inside and confronted her. She had nothing to say for herself, stayed silent through the whole confrontation, ignoring my existence, and her coworker witnessed and walked away leaving the associate with me. Since she didnt want to speak up for herself and own up to her actions, I turned around to leave the store and she immediately followed behind and sarcastically said Im such a nice person while filming me on her phone. Funny how she tried to make me look like I was attacking her in the video when off camera she was being rude to us as potential customers. Its pathetic that she chose to hide what really happened behind a screen just to record me yelling at her for her actions so she can make me look bad. I called and put in a complaint with store corporate and hopefully consequences will be set in place for this worker. Yeah I get that they just want the store to close and cant wait the couple of minutes and not have to work but how about keeping it professional when there are still customers around?

I'm not sure of the staff member's name, but the brunette woman assisting me today was so helpful and pleasant. I appreciated her help, and it made my shopping experience fulfilling and enjoyable.
