Update 3/30/23: Never saw him again. We're on our own to fix his horrible mess he left with us as it's useless to sue him as his company has no assets to go after. Advised by both my Lawyer and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs that we won't see a penny from this guy when we win a Civil Suit against him. We'd be chasing him down forever. Buyer beware, consider yourself warned. :( Update:10/18/2021 - John Genova was again a NO SHOW on a date set up by our lawyer to meet and agree on a date for repair work. No surprise there. Another day wasted waiting for this guy to show up. When are you coming John? You have a lot of excuses but there is never any action? This concrete isn't going to fix itself. UPDATE: 9/15/2021 We have had to retain a lawyer to deal with this matter as John G., owner of Tottenham Paving and Construction still does not answer our correspondence and has not honoured his word/guarantee to tear out and replace the terrible concrete job. If you see this guy .. RUN! DO NOT HIRE HIM! John G., the owner of Tottenham Paving and Construction, comes across as a good guy until the work is supposed to start and then there is nothing but lack of truth, no shows for work, excuses, lack of ethics and very poor quality of work when and if he does show up. He totally botched a large patio and walkway cement job, said he would fix it but then disappeared and no longer answers emails as to when he will be back to fix. It will cost us over $10,000 to fix this mess he left us. I am so disappointed with John Genova, I really thought that this would be a good experience with him and I couldn't be more wrong. Initially he came off as such a good and decent guy .. until we had a signed contract and then it all went downhill. Service: Concrete work
