We went to this lab for some bloodwork for immigration medical examinations. After waiting in line for a while, we were only told that this Dynacare location took appointment only and we had to either book an appointment for the next day or go to another Dynacare nearby. We did not live in Ottawa so we could not book an appointment and come back the next day. As a result, we had to go to the Dynacare location at 595 Montreal Road, which was a disaster. I think this lab could do better in customer service. First, inform the doctors nearby of your appointment policy so they can let their patients know. Second, put something at the entrance to let patients know that you do not take walk-ins so nobody will be wasting time.

2023 update: finally had no choice but to go here. Gross. The actual phlebotomist who took my blood did great. The facility? Not so much. Overworked front desk staff (this is me trying to be generous and assuming they are just overworked - not just really awful mean people). This whole big lab only has ONE bathroom! How many people need to take samples? Never mind just use the bathroom. And it was completely out of soap Web checkin not available on weekends by they won't mention that if you're looking earlier in the week to plan ahead for the weekend! I got yelled at by 2 staff for not understanding how check-in works (rather doesn't work they don't have one). This is a convenient location for me but I left and will be sure to only visit other locations. Unfortunately for consumers, my decision to go elsewhere will only make this company happy. They own all the other locations anyway, and this location was clearly too crowded.

The guy has one job, identify the customer and purpose of the visit for processing. He was arrogant and dismissive. He asked for my driver license when I said that I had an appointment there. I handed him my driver's license and he kept it. I then asked are u sure you need to keep that and he told me "yes!" without further explanation and ordered me to step away from the desk and just sit down and wait. 10 minutes later he comes back to the counter and calls me over and asks me which company sent me. I told him I'm here for routine bloodworks. He became visibly angry shaking his head and tells me it'll be at least an hours wait in a bare undecorated room full of unclean chairs packed with people for that service and that I didn't book an appointment with their office (there's another Dyna care on the same road 1km away). Not customer oriented at all. Rude and dismissive followed by angry and berating. Avoid this place.
