        We were so lucky to get last minute accommodations at Stanley's and it was the icing on the cake of a 5 week road trip. Rob at Stanley's was fantastic and even remembered to invite us to the weekly fish fry when we booked 2 nights last minute. We were not expecting any vacancy but lucked out - most book year after year for minimums of 1 week. Rented a boat and caught 4 nice small mouth bass (live released) and saw 7 bald eagles - most up close. The hospitality, the location, the natural beauty and comradery make this a must stop. Wish it was closer to Kingston Ont our home town as it would be an annual family vacation.

        We have been to Stanley's about every other year since 2006-2007. With the pandemic we missed 2020 and 2021. Rob, the owner make you feel right at home. He always has a smile and greeting. John Allan (spelling) is a fantastic guide. He got me on a 14lb lake trout this year. In years past he also got us on the fish, be it trout or walleye or northern Pike. The dock hands are very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are first rate and updated. The fishing on Eagle Lake is phenomenal as long as the bad weather stays away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Stanley's to anyone who wants a great place to stay and fish.
