        Due to an unfortunate bout of severe weather, the neighboring Provincial Park was closed so my fishing buddy and I were stuck in a strange land with no place to camp. While attempting to turn around in the Blue Lake Resort parking lot the owners came out to assist. After we explained our dilemma, Rick offered a spot with power and water. Maybe not the most optimum place to camp but it was paradise to us. Rick and Sheryle are amazing hosts who went beyond merely incredible to make our week in Canada a pleasant one. Offering up advice on fishing area lakes, delivering a plate of wonderful cookies and a few other things to make our stay as pleasant as possible, these two are examples of what the best lodge owners should be. Blue Lake is as wonderful as it is crystal clear. The neighboring lakes are teaming with fish and Eagle lake, just down the road, has a reputation most fishermen already know. Thank you Rick and Sheryle for rescuing a couple stranded strangers!
