Edgewater By The Bay has only improved the appearance of SOME of its motel rooms, while the other ones remain dangerous. I will explain. There are twelve motel rooms at this motel, and my familys motel room was one of the bad quality, older rooms. My grandparents are the ones who annually rent the same room, but they will never say anything about it nor complain since they do not care, so here I am here to warn future guests. Do not rent the old rooms when you stay here, as at least a few of them have the following problems: 1) The front door of the suite has a broken mechanism, causing the locking ability to be flimsy. The door can easily be broken into with one kick if you tried. 2) The front door of the suite also had major gaps between the door and frame, due to being worn out or just poorly installed. This allows insects to crawl in and other elements. 3) THERE IS A CRACK IN THE WALL in one of the bedrooms, which allows guests to see right through to a neighboring suite. Yes, thats correct: another privacy and safety violation. 4) There are NO ventilation systems in the bathroom. There is no FAN in the bathroom. When four or five people are living together with one ventless bathroom, showering and using the toilet, imagine how that would go. 5) Spiders and webs in corners of the kitchenette and the shower. Gross. I hope that you think twice about spending any money here. My grandparents unfortunately come here for the cheap rate and do not care about the quality of stay, and are too old to care about speaking up, which is why I am the one saying something. To the staff of all levels at Edgewater By The Bay: please fix ALL the rooms up and patch up the gaps... then maybe this would justify an increase in price. Guests would be comfortable and safe!

I was never told where to park so I ended up parking in the parking lot next to it and got a $35 parking ticket.... was not happy about that one... wish they had told me where to park so I could have easily avoided it... but the rooms were so so.... beds were super hard but clean sheets so that last a plus and the beach was close which was good... overpriced for the place but the location was good
