The worst staff members ever!

Ive been trying to rent a Orbital Wood Sander for the weekend for two weeks in a row now. First week, whoever rented it before me didnt return it. Second week I specifically asked if Home Depot was open for the Monday which is Victoria Day and they said i would be able to come and get it. Hint hint, that wasnt the case. Now ill have to wait another week the sand my gosh darn deck. Is it this hard to purchase a service from Home Depot??

Have had outstanding service from a number of staff at this home depot. Claude in tiling has been exceptional. Lori and the Indian lady in appliances have likewise been exceptional. So refreshing to see such professionalism and receive great help and feedback from staff that genuinely seem to care about their customers. It's staff like this which make or break a company like home depot.

Unfortunately we have visited several times over the past few weeks and have had poor customer service. We went to purchase a tool set that was on sale, there was 3 associates and the first one that started to help us, wasn't very knowledgeable, and then was approached by another customer so he started helping them and leaving us standing there... another employee stopped to see if we needed help, and I explained yes as the person who was helping us just starting helping someone else. We eventually got what we had gone for but it was a process that seemed to be much more frustrating then it needed to be. Again recently we stopped in to get some more wood for a project as well as a roofing. Both of which these isles were blocked off. We waited 15 mins + to be able to get into the isles to get what we needed. We were told they were training someone on using the forklift to move wood around. I appreciate that staff need to learn, however maybe in the middle of the day on a Saturday when that is one of the busiest sections right now not a great time to choose to train them. When we asked how long it would be we were given a less then pleasant response. Overall lately it has been poor service at this location. Being as it's close to our home we do prefer to go here out of convenience. I think it's a simple fix of just more training on service and timing of when things are done.
