I called in and asked for a quote for filing tax. The receptionist told me it's somewhere between $80-$120. I then came in. They asked for $440 for filing my tax. The lady who helped me with tax finally offered a discount of 20%. I was left with no option but to pay $350ish. I used to file tax myself (it took me 1-2 hours), and this year, I had a lot to deal with. So I thought maybe hire someone to do it. Well, I will say the return is definitely not "maximized" as advertised. The tax specialist asked me a few questions, which the Turbo tax online form asked (sorry, i could not tell how they are doing a better job than Turbo tax). Finally, I was asked to pay CRA $7000ish tax for my $20000ish self-employment. I felt like I paid $350 on a lesson called "Being a fool." On top of it, a lady booked an appointment with me at 8:50 pm to finalize the tax report, but she did not show up. Her coworker came at 9:11 pm to do the work. Well, if I was informed that I would be charged $350, I would set aside 2 hours to do my tax return. If they are maximizing refund as they advertise, a $350 service charge would be reasonable. Now, $350 is just a lesson I learned. Update: they first used an excuse that I did not mention to them that I have both T4 & T4A. After realizing that I did, they then claimed that my T4A (commission) is self-employment and not a professional T4A, which only cost $240. Well, I am making a consumer complaint in regards to their overcharge and giving wrong quotes.

Please don't file your tax with: VIVIAN. She is very confusing and when I ask questions she gets blank. She keeps asking for documents but when we get it she keeps delaying the process. She said that I owe to CRA some amount. But in reality when I checked my account. I owe nothing to CRA. She is complex and doesn't know what's she is doing. Also, my refund was too less as compared to my previous years.

I have been going to this location for several years. I always see Regina and she is friendly and efficient. I am always seen promptly. I always receive the best return possible. I continue to go every year because it really is the best Tax Return service I have ever used.
