YRC Freight Canada Oshawa

This company either does not understand or does not care about customer service. A shipment bound for NJ picked up on the 8th of June is still sitting in their Oshawa terminal. When I called to discuss it I was I was rudely told to "learn about shipping". Perhaps my 45 years working in it don't count. I was then hung up on. I realize you are only getting my side of the story. I might add we have used this company 4 times in the past 3 months. All 3 previous shipments were grossly late- not by a day or 2 but by weeks. Never again.

This is one of the worst shipping experiences for our small company. Right from the start when approaching the border at Buffalo, they said they had no shipping documents for customs, which they DID have. It took 4 calls from me to customer service at YRC to actually speak with someone who provided the correct documents. The first 3 said there were none. They came the other problems. They did not send pars and other docs to our customs clearing agent, who was clearly noted on the commercial invoice and BOL. That was last Friday, at the end of the day, that I found this out. I spent hours on the phone on Friday retrieving the documents one by one, like pulling teeth! Finally I had what our agent needed and sent them to her. Then the shipment moved from there to Oshawa terminal where it arrived on Monday. Now it's Friday (again!) and it is still sitting in the Oshawa terminal. This is a federal holiday today but YRC is working like many other shipping companies. Now I'm told it will be here on Monday. Let's see if THAT happens. When speaking with YRC customer service I was offered tracking notifications by email, which I thought - GREAT!. Gave them by email address. Never received one notification. Hmm, I guess that's because there was nothing to tell me because it hadn't moved in 5 days. This past Feb we had the exact same order come from the same US company, also with YRC freight, and everything was smooth and on time.
