The worst experience Ive ever had, not only at a bank, but any facility in which customer service should be a priority. I am entering Dental School this August and I was matched up with a financial advisor named Jeff, and I met with him on March 29th. After sending him all the documents he asked for on March 30th, he hadnt been in contact with me for a couple weeks. I emailed him and called him a few times - no response. After constantly trying to reach him I decided to go to the branch to speak with a manager. The manager, who seems incapable of doing his job properly, said Do I know you? when I came up to him. Did not ask, can I help you?, is there something that you needed?. After speaking with the manager about the advisor he goes on to tell me that he has been moved branches without me knowing. And also goes on to explain how Jeff is super busy dealing with a lot of important clients??? As if Im not an important client. My name was not even in the system after a whole month of me believing that my student loans would be approved shortly. I cant even apply for my student visa without approved loans. After everything went down, Jeff calls me to set up another appointment. As he had all my information already I decided to return (I drove to Essex to meet him). This was almost three weeks ago. I havent heard from him since meanwhile I went to another branch and started the whole process over with another advisor and Jeff still hasnt reached back. Horrible experience, they are not there when you need them, and they try to put the blame on you afterwards. Horrible management and lack of care for their clients. Do not recommend.

I've always had a pretty good experience with the customer service at this branch, but that wasn't my experience today. One of the tellers working today (white hair, greenish eyes, with glasses) stood out while I was standing in line because she was talking to the man in front me in a demeaning tone. Lucky me got her next, I asked her to fulfill something that I had done before at the same branch and was told that wasn't possible to do........ mind you no effort was made to even clarify with another coworker if she might've been misinformed. Similar to the experience of the guy in front of me, that asked for service that banks typically provide only to be told it wasn't possible. Not going to ramble about it but do better CIBC Malden. Individuals that don't know what they're talking about and speak to customers in a rude tone should not be working in the service industry.
