Very disappointing. I went to the coverage clinic at the corner of Walker & Tecumseh. Their hours are terrible for people who work. Just finished my 6th appointment & I ended up leaving early because the small gym had about 10 patients & 1 employee, who didnt have enough time to work with everyone, & there was nowhere for me to sit and do my ankle exercises. I was told the physiotherapist would work on a future plan for me, but they werent in I guess, & I only saw her 2/6 times I attended. My time would have been better served seeing my chiropractor, who also does laser, & would also give me exercises. I feel like I wasted my benefits.

Kelly and the staff at A.R.C are amazing. Ohip covered physio and they validate your parking. The place I'll go even if I had paid physio

I used to go to ARC for many years, not because they were the best, BUT because they were the closest. Today, Thursday, April 20th, 2023, I called the Walker Rd location to book an appointment for both chiropractic and physiotherapy. Whoever was answering the phones was extremely unprofessional. I asked for Dr. Cooper (chiro) and whoever as the physiotherapist in order to have the appointment on the same day. The receptionist asked for my name and all the information they do before they give you the appointment, then she asked me to hold. I was on hold for 6 minutes and 38 seconds. She came back asking how I would be paying, to which I answered credit card. Suddenly, I had another important call from the hospital, so I told the lady I will call her back since it was an appointmentfor the same injury. It didn't even take a minute, and then I called ARC back. I said "I am back, so whats the date?" The woman answered "whos calling?" And I said I was just talking to you," she answered "No you were talking to the other one, whats your name?" Frustrated, I said "JESUS WE HAVE TO GO FROM THE BEGINNING AND DO ALL OF THAT AGAIN?" Her answer was "THEN YOU DON'T NEED TO COME TO THIS PLACE! FIND ANOTHER PLACE!!." I said "Excuse me?" Her answer was "YES!! BECAUSE YOU SAID JESUS!" I said "What are you talking about? Please let me talk to the other lady." She put me on hold, and at that moment my husband said "Dear, they need you, you dont need them." So I agreed and hung up the call. Who puts a receptionist that answers phones like that? What kind of attitude is this? And what is so wrong if I said Jesus? PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC. They deserve BELOW ZERO stars for their terrible administration team!!!

I truly wish I could give negative 1000 for this place. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH DEGENERACY in a medical practice in my life. I witnessed elderly patients who could barely walk treated like absolute garbage. They are an insurance/ Ohip mill. They do not care about their mostly elderly patients whatsoever. They take advantage of their vulnerability. There was only one therapist for about 8 patients at one time. One patient was so upset with the lack of care that she got up and told thr therapist she wqs leaving. She would bark order at them in the most condescending tone without explaining how to properly do the exercises therefore allowing the possibility of them hurting themselves. I ended up speaking to their main physiotherapist about the awful experience and my concerns. No recognition for the issue or apology or the promise to do better and actually provide care. He simply said he will close our account so we can go somewhere else. What makes him think I will ever allow them to abuse my mom ever again?? I feel bad for the elderly who are pushed to go to a place like this because they cannot advocate for themselves. I am putting a complaint with Ohip and the referring doctor so they can look into the mess that this place is. I have seen better care in a 3rd world country. Please DO NOT TAKE your loved ones to this place. It should be shut down.

I had my first Physiotherapy session yesterday at the TMC-ARC for a fractured right shoulder and it was a terrible experience. The first two parts were fine where I received Laser and heat treatments prior to doing the physio. There was ONLY one therapist in the exercise room looking after a few patients. After demonstrating how to perform each exercise he would walk away and leave me on my own. There was no follow-up to see how I was doing or if I was doing the exercises correctly. There was no monitoring of me to check on my pain level and how much I was able to do. He did not seem to care and was just going through the motions. It appeared that he was basically doing the same with other patients as well. I tried very hard to complete all my exercises as directed but in doing so I was putting myself in extreme pain and agony and had to eventually just stop and tell him I could not continue. He then says "Why didn't you tell me you were hurting?" If he had been monitoring me closely he would had seen what was happening! He never once told me to stop if it becomes too hard or painful. I left the clinic in a lot more pain than when I entered which in my opinion set me backwards one to two weeks in my recovery. Apparently this is the ONLY OHIP covered clinic locally for Seniors. Hopefully my next physio appointment will be a much better experience. From the posted reviews and people I have talked with (including my wife) they have had very similar experiences at the ARC in Tecumseh. They could greatly improve their treatment of patients by having more therapists on staff.
