In my opinion, CCA not equiped nor prepared to assist children with their academic, let alone mental and physical growth. There were no sports programs other than gym, or other extracurricular activities unless you would like to pay extra, and even then, the options were severely limited. The teachers are not equipped to deal with mental health issues and do not have the tools to handle special needs due to a lack of knowledge and training. As a former student of CCA, I would not recommend that you send any of your children here. I saw children suffer from mental health problems as a result of what I believe to be inadequate policies and oversight. There are issues involving mental health in every school, of course, but at CCA there are no counselors and the staff is not trained to deal with children in crisis and/or deal with mental illness. There are also no Ontario Secondary School Diplomas(OSSD) available upon completion of highschool for grade 12 students. One can still get into some programs regardless, but it makes it more difficult especially for students aspiring to go to University. I personally knew one student graduating from here that could not get into University due to the lack of an OSSD. I myself had to first complete another program after my graduation from this school in order to get into university. Additionally, nearly all of the curriculum used at this school is not only a decade or two out of date, but some of it hasn't been updated since the '70s or '80s. I completed a career education program which only gave women the two options of homemaker or telephone operator. (??) In addition, the science program was two decades out of date and had a lot of inaccurate information (I'm in my third year of Genetics and Psychology at Western University and I can testify that CCA's science curriculum is completely inaccurate). If you want your children to be traumatized and grow up with an inadequate education, then by all means, send them here. The principal frequently yelled and screamed at students if she thought they weren't behaving and I observed the kindergarten class left alone with a 10 year old nearly 45 minutes on multiple occasions. I urge parents to find a school that promotes their children's mental and physical health, in addition to providing a quality, well-rounded education. Please consider other institutions before settling at this sad excuse for a school. I hope for your children's sake you find a better place.

Canadian Christian Academy is second to none. The individualistic learning style for each child is what makes our positive environment so successful. I am proud to say that I am a graduate of this academy and now the Vice Principal! I look forward to the day of enrolling my little ones in this school. High-Quality care, One on one mentorships with teachers and all around positive experience!! So thankful for this place!
