I dont know if it was the country air or the pristine view of the water, but the Romantic Log Cabin was an oasis of relaxation. The cottage itself was beautiful, quiet, and comfy. An easy drive from Toronto, the cottage gave our family a much needed break. We went to town and walked around the farmers market, bought some local jams and homemade soap, had lunch at a local eatery, and nestled in for the night in the cottage. I dont think any of us have slept that well in a long time. We will definitely be back!

We were thankful to find this cottage for a two week getaway to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The price on the owner's webpage indicated $1100 per week for two weeks that we intended to book, which seemed inline with the prices of other similar rental cottages. We contacted the owner directly through their webpage to find out that the weeks that we wanted were in fact available. In the first email response from the owner she quoted a rental rate that was $699 per week higher than the rate indicated on her webpage, bringing the total to $1799 per week. The interaction became more suspicious when she went on to explain that if we had anyone stop by during our two week stay that it would be an additional $50 per person and that she would need to know their full names prior to confirming our reservation. The requirement for partial payment up front changed to requests for full payment accompanied by our full names, current mailing address, phone numbers and an emergency contact. The emails we received became almost hounding in nature and very gramatically erratic and repetitive. The final email was one demanding immediate payment within twelve hours or our reservation request would be terminated. We were sent very detailed instructions on how to submit payment four times, including how to send the payment using two separate bank accounts if required. The entire interaction came across as very suspicious, greedy and desperate. Would not recommend this property.

Wanted to say what an amazing time my husband and I here at the cabin, everything that you needed was right at your finger tips. Jennifer and Roger were very gracious hosts, and the photos on their website does not to the cabin justice....it felt like you were at home here. I will be booking for our trip next year, thank you again Jennifer and Roger for everything.
