As a student who lives in residence and is paying a fair amount of money for the food, I feel that I should be receiving much higher quality food than I am. Some of the meals are great, especially the specialty meals they serve at lunch and dinner, which are usually good. However, most of the food here underwhelming. Breakfast is fine, except they often run out of fruit bowls and sometimes the fruit is underwhelming, like a bowl full of pineapple, honeydew and cantaloupe. Foods that are unpopular like barley, butternut squash, and cooked baby carrots are often served. The food is cold at times. Other food is not made well. My main issue is that they dont make enough food to feed the people that are paying for it. By about 7 pm, theres literally barely any food left. People paying a couple thousand dollars shouldnt have to eat a fifth cheeseburger in a week because there wasnt enough food made. Additionally, the nutritional value is severely lacking. They make salad but always run out, and there isnt even salad available at every lunch and supper. Since vegetables that most people dont like are often served, people often skip eating vegetables and thus dont eat any vegetables I love the workers here who are great, but the food needs some work.

I've been in res for 3 years and have become very familiar with their food. Throughout a week they provide quite a range of options but in a given day, multiple options can be very similar or not good. For example, it's common to have 3 potato options like scallop potatoes, roasted potatoes, and french fries and then a meat to go with it. I get it we live on pei but you gotta have a little more variety than that. I'd say out 15 meals they serve, you'll enjoy about 6 of them. The food itself is made super low quality. You can tell they cut a lot of corners just to save money. Not to mention their breakfasts are the same everyday and it's about a step down from eating space food. (Powdered scrambled eggs is the best breakfast option). Their staff are great. I absolutely love the people they hire. I rate this a 1 star because they seriously need to change things up in the food they serve and the prices they sell it at.
