Old Protestant Burying Ground

a peaceful oasis and a fascinating historical site. well worth a visit, especially if you can get a tour from the caretaker. more than just names and dates, there are many detailed inscriptions.

I stopped by and walked around as a tourist without any connection to those buried here. The area is great for strolls and the tombstones make for some great history.

We were thrilled to find the graves of my 4th great grandparents so easily. An excellent index of names and locations is available at the gate.

If you're as lucky as I was to find the employee restoring the headstones, he's got so much history to share about the grounds & who is buried there. Whoever is in charge of employing this man ought to realize what a hard-working gem they have. So incredibly knowledgeable and excited to walk you to certain headstones and tell you detailed information about them. I'm glad I stopped by and went inside to wander.
