Their Charlottetown dump operation is objectively bad. If I had to pick one word to describe things I would say it is shambolic. The dump is indoors and on sunny days you can glance to outside and see the haze of particulate floating around in there as people dump their construction waste and such. Theyve got two scales but they only use one of them most of the time. And when they use only one of two scales they still dont use the traffic lights on the gatehouse, which leaves lineups of inbound and outbound cars just waving to each other to go. When they DO use both scales theyve set them up backwards so the outbound traffic has to exit through a gap in the long lines of inbound traffic. Once youre past the gatehouse they have no real method of queuing the cars that are waiting in the parking area to use the 3 doors (yes, all dump traffic must enter backwards into one of three doors cause its an indoor dump). The staff wont let you drive in forward and back out. I once asked why and they said, cause its how we do it. But for many, its easier to back out when empty than back in when full, and it should make no difference to the staff. I frequent the dump for work (about twice a month with relatively small truckloads) and I dread going every time. Its a total doga** time vampire setup that needs full reassessment. I wrote this review while waiting in line.I havent moved one car length in 20 minutes. Charlottetown is a small place where people sometimes shy away from a negative review. Im sorry if I know the person who is responsible for this place but its a really bad setup.
