Yumi Sushi Charlottetown

We had lunch there on Friday. The food was delivered quite quickly and we liked the idea of a tablet menu where you can see what you are ordering. However, we noticed that all the sushi had over-cooked the rice, which made me feel like I was eating porridge instead of sushi. We told that to the waiters twice, but the manager never showed up.

Broths had no flavour and were obviously watered down. Sushis were served with way too much rice and the fish itself was mediocre quality with very little flavour. Bathrooms were gross, stains everywhere and garbage overflowing onto the floor. Was repeatedly brought dishes we didnt order, and one server insisted we did order them even when shown our order list. Atmosphere was also nothing special, with sports, weather, and kids cartoons playing on televisions. Come here if you want to spend $30 a person for mostly rice and $5 for a pot of green tea that tastes like tetley. Not a serious sushi restaurant at all, easily the worst one in town.

The young guy who I believe is a manager of some kind seems lazy, standing at the counter, watching the workers run around trying to serve people and doesn't appear to want to help in any way. It took 20 minutes to get his attention for simply a glass of water. The cup he used eventually for my water was broken and water spilled on my shoes and the table. Food was okay but service doesn't appear to be.
