        Beautiful, historic park. The grounds are well manicured and the views are wonderful. Very quiet and a nice place to walk our dog.

        We always enjoy visiting fort amherst. Good trails, great views, good Forest walks, nice beach. If you like views nature and beaches, Fort Amherst delivers. That's beyond the awesome history lesson you get, everything is worth reading at least once

        December may not be the best time to visit, however it was a good walk with some nice views. It was a bit lite on the history, but that is probably different when it is open.
