Matriaux Rfractaires Direct is the BEST supplier of refractory materials in Canada. I looked across every province, even suppliers without ecommerce sites, and I could not find a supplier with the selection and prices that I found here. I am building a pizza oven, and it is very hard to find a masonry supplier that stocks all the necessary products. On their site, I found everything I needed, including the stainless steel needle reinforcement and hard-to-find curved refractory bricks. If I could, I would give 6 stars because of Maxime's amazing customer service. I was able to postpone my delivery by two weeks (otherwise I would have gotten it in 2 days!) to allow me to prepare my building site. When my purchase arrived, the shipping contractor had damaged some items. I didn't want to refuse the delivery outright, because it seemed unnecessarily wasteful to send the entire skid back for two items. I sent photos that I took of the wrapped skid with the delivery driver to Maxime, who arranged for my replacements to be couriered out to me within days. Maxime even dealt with the shipping company, which could have been annoying for me, because the driver had filled out the delivery waybill in error and the shipping company argued that I had not refused the entire order and therefore they were not responsible. In summary: fantastic products, low prices, easy-to-use website, and great post-sales customer service. I will buy from them again for my masonry stove project.
