(Translated by Google) Really a nice welcoming place. The covered and screened terrace is a must. There is everything to relax and have fun. Pool table with bar area, children's toys, board games, karaoke, a spa and other amenities. The hosts are welcoming and respond quickly to questions. I recommend! Rented Chalet Zazlo for three nights as a little getaway for my boyfriend's birthday. We invited another couple to join us on the second night for a BBQ birthday dinner and stay-over. I spoke with one of the owners just before we arrived for our first night and was informed that there was no propane for the BBQ, but that it would be replaced early the next morning. We could make do, but asked if there was plenty of firewood or if we needed to bring our own and were assured there was ample. We had barely unlocked the door to the chalet upon arrival before I received a text message asking us to leave the propane cylinders out on the balcony so the housekeeper wouldnt wake us replacing them in the morning, which we did. Unfortunately, when we went to go make a fire, we noticed there wasnt much wood available inside, and the wood pile outside was locked. But there was enough for the first evening, so we figured wed just ask the housekeeper in the morning. Except no one ever came. By 11 AM, my boyfriend started texting the co-owner to get an update. She said she was trying contact the housekeeper and would keep us posted. Two hours later, after hearing no response, he even texted to offer to buy the propane himself and heard nothing back. We ended up going out and buying our own firewood in the meantime. By 5 PM, our dinner guests had arrived to no dinner. Finally, a man arrived to take the empty propane tanks away, but didnt have replacements. Maybe 30 minutes afterward, a woman came with fresh tanks and unlocked the wood shed. By the time she left, it was a full 24 hours after we arrived. We never received a response from the co-owner; she totally ghosted us. Not to give an update as she said she would, not to apologize, not to ask if the situation was remedied, nothing. In all honesty, it felt as though the management forgot we were coming. In fact, when I spoke to the co-owner on the phone the night of our arrival, she asked if we were arriving the following morning, when we were only maybe two hours away. The front steps were dangerously icy (the cleaning woman also commented on this at the end of our stay), there was no water in the water coolers, there were supposed to be pellets for the downstairs pellet stove where our guests were staying, but there were none, no propane for 24 hours, barely any wood for 24 hours (aside from the wood we went out and bought ourselves), and no update or care from management. My boyfriend wrote an email about our stay to the co-owner and received no response. He even followed-up with a text -- which she did respond to, confirming her email address -- and re-sent the letter, but still didnt receive a response. We were hoping for some sort of reimbursement for the first day, but didnt even receive acknowledgement of the situation. Also, while the Zazlo contract stipulates that the $500 security deposit will be returned no later than 7 days after our departure, it wasnt. I had to follow-up about it before it was returned to my account. I rented the place specifically for: indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, screened-in BBQ area. When there's no propane and locked firewood, it kind of defeated the purpose. We really tried to enjoy our stay here, but management's complete lack of interest in fixing basic issues or helping in any way was really upsetting. One star for the wonderful view and resident river otter, but everything else made it a bad experience.
