It was a wonderful and enriching experience. They are so welcoming and loving people. I would recommend you go to gain knowledge of first nations, tradtions, practices, and their spiritual beliefs. Understanding their history gives you a different perspective and appreciation on how far they have come as a community and nation of people. Go and learn, meet them and see for yourself. You wont regret it. Open yourself to a new community and join them :) thank you for taking the time to teach and talk to me. I loved it.

Why pray tell, WHY, am I hearing that last night on Orange Shirt Day of all days, when the focus , purpose, is Truth and Reconciliation, it was announced that Elders can no longer supply/ sell Medicines through the Lodge. Whomever has insulted our Elders in this way needs to be educated and brought into the lodge to sit with the Elders. We dont TELL Elders what they can and can not do. They are our Knowledge Keepers. Our Spiritual strength. And they are to be treated with the utmost respect. Consultation. Feasting. Gifting. That is the path to Respect and Reconciliation. Just one more forced domination of Indigenous Truth. These Medicines are provided to our community by the Elders for Ceremony. Is the issue the selling of? So what. If I brought Cedar and traded for Grandmother Moon Smudge how would that be different. Unfortunately, due to colonization, the majority of Indigenous that I know of have no access to medicines etc. To trade; WHICH IS WHY WE TRADE FOR CANADIAN DOLLARS Force us into your system and then tell what we can and cannot use it for. Limiting our Elders ability to support our communities. I may live on the other side of Turtle Island, and I stand beside my brothers and sisters there working so hard to bring about positive and meaning full change. I am grateful that this lodge is available to the people and it is creating a beautiful and powerful community. However I may best be of support Prayers and love to all Thank you for your listening.
