The little housekeeping supervisor was very rude. She abruptly strode into my room as I had asked for new bedding. She asked why I wanted new beddings as if she was telling me off. I told her I had been staying in that room already for 4 days and I had not been given any housekeeping service till then. But she kept saying only one word "no" without explaining why she could not change bedding. Because she did not even try to give any explanation about why but persisted in saying literally one word "no." I had to ask her "May I ask why?" She finally said that she just did not want to change my bedding because I would be checking out the next day. So I told her, if I had stayed only one night, she would have had to change the bedding anyway. She eventually conceded grudgingly. She pulled off bed sheets except the fitted sheet that she did not want to change. However, luckily (?) I found a long blond hair on it. I picked it up and showed it to her telling it was not my hair. She snorted pretending nonchalant and pulled off the fitted sheet, but did not say anything or apologize for that. The housekeeper who actually cleaned my room was kind, but the little supervisor or manager of housekeeping team from whom the housekeeper said she had to get a permission to change bedding was really rude. Other than this experience, it was alright. Good location close to the bridge connecting Gatineau and Ottawa, History Museum, National Art Gallery and local cafes and bars. It seems that the breakfast and bar that are posted as available on various websites haven't been served for a few years. The fan in bathroom is very loud. There's only one switch that turns on and off the lights and fan altogether in bathroom. Curtain in the room was thick but not a blackout curtain. Reading lights beside bed didn't work.

Really nice hotel. Our room was really big. Lots of space and huge washroom. A bit cold but thats fine. We only stayed here 1 night. Front desk lady was really nice. Aaron really liked the room. Kitchen had all the supplies with stove, microwave, cutleries and pans for cooking and a big fridge. I recommend staying here and this place isnt too far from the parliament hill, only about 5 min drive away while its a lot quieter here and rooms are much bigger.
