Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The whole hotel is cramped and very dated. The hallway outside our room had a weird smell to it. Our room had the heat blasting when we first walked in. We tried to go for the free breakfast with our coupons they hand out, but no staff members were there and there were no plates. Parking is awful here, be prepared to park next to a bunch of boarded up houses.

Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of ensuring everything was in order. Secondly, the beds were clean and comfortable. It was the perfect way to unwind and get a good night's sleep. The breakfast at BW was very good as well. The spread offered a variety of delicious options to start the day, and the staff made sure everything was well-stocked and enjoyable. The staff was polite and their friendly demeanor added an extra touch of warmth to the overall experience. Lastly, the hotel's location couldn't have been better. It was conveniently situated close to everything, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions, shops, and restaurants without any hassle. Overall, my stay at BW (Best Western) was fantastic. I highly recommend it for those looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast to start the day.

Very uncomfortable rooms. Limited and slow elevators. We stayed at a suite on the executive floor. Had to wait between 5 to 15 minutes each way for elevator. The sofa bed was impossible to sleep on. Aged, dirty and uncomfortable. Check in took a very long time and the room was not ready even after the check in time. We asked for some help setting up the sofa bed, the room service who came to the room did not knock on the door just came in and didnt even know how to make the sofa bed. Very poor experience at this location. Not even remotely close to a regular Beat Western, let alone a Best Western Plus. Breakfast was a disaster. No place to move no place to sit. Very poor value for money. You will be better off with other hotels in the area or Airbnb. I will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend to anyone.
