Bought a Qashqai 2021. Have been loving it, and so far, no serious issues. However, went to adjust the rearview mirror the other day, and the thing snapped right off. I sat there, holding it in my hand, wondering what in hell just happened. Went to the dealership and was told there was nothing they could do about it. Since it also removed a bit of the windshield, LeBeau says we need to replace the whole front windshield. Between myself and my husband, we've owned many cars in our lifetime, and never, ever has anything this bizarre happened. We were sure it was a defect, but Nissan said no, even though they never saw anything like this before. So, now we are obligated to file an insurance claim, and pay the deductible, for a friggin rearview mirror that snapped off just by being adjusted. In closing, I agree with everyone here that once the warranty is over, anything that happens is your problem. Can't say it's any different from other dealers, but was expecting more from Nissan all the same.

(Translated by Google) Fraudulent warranty plan, as soon as the cost of repairs exceeds a certain amount, they will do everything to refuse to fulfill their obligation. Our only recourse is to take the case to court. For everyone, it can be very expensive and stressful to have to start these procedures. For my part, I have a problem with the engine that I mention for 6 months to my dealer. 6 months later, I am told that the engine has suffered premature wear. From what I understand, they refuse to assume the repairs of a vehicle before the damage is substantial, then refuses to do the repairs because there is a trace of negligence. In my opinion, this practice is fraudulent. I don't understand how it can be legal and why the OPC does nothing. It is up to me to prove and have the vehicle appraised to prove that the premature wear comes from the problem that I have been mentioning for a very long time. Save yourself a lot of hassle and shop elsewhere for your vehicle.
