Ive had the pleasure of watching Johns free class videos he has been doing on Facebook. He really know his stuff regarding Scoliosis and effective moves and postures to help with the scoliosis. He is a very genuine, down-to-earth gentleman. He has a kinesiology background and is definitely one of the better physical therapists out there. He offers one-on-one training sessions virtually for those who live too far away from his home office. I worked definitely give him a try - follow a few of his free classes to see if he is the right choice for your needs.

John Cloutier's program, Scoliosis Relief, can be done online with no traveling. He does an extensive analysis before recommending a program for you with follow up whenever you may need clarification or have questions or concerns, in addition to the online one-on-one classes. He is an invested and caring coach, very motivating and compassionate. As mentioned by many, exercise is key on so many levels since with time we CAN change our musculature to better support our imbalances. I can attest to my comment as my daughter did his program for under a year. She has curves in the 40s and 50s and the hospital has only ever recommended surgery which we want to avoid through targeted exercise. She wears day and night braces, she is now 17. After our time in John's program her x-ray revealed a stable lumbar curve with no increase and a reduced thoracic curve by 4 degrees. She put in at least an hour a day of his program, which she was able to follow along with on video he provided, once she trained for the exercises. But she still had classes with him weekly where he would observe her exercises, give feedback and constantly make adjustments as needed. It was not - "here are the exercises, you're on your own." Some are subtle, some breathing, some stretching, postural, some are demanding of your strength, but you build up endurance over time at YOUR pace. One thing for sure however, there is no shortcut, you must do the work. I would always tell my daughter, this exercise will benefit not only your back but your body overall, you are so much better all around for this one hour a day.... and doing something for yourself. I don't believe the spinal fusion is the end of pain or need for exercise and targeted fitness. So why not do it now and give your body and musculature the best possible chance to support your spine and imbalances. I would highly recommend at very least a discussion with John to see what a program can look like for you. He is extremely supportive and encouraging. Like anything you want to do to make a change, it requires commitment and some sort of shift, but the journey of this commitment is one of empowerment and extends to your overall wellness, I would say even more so as an adult since we tend to put less time in for ourselves. We need the expertise and guidance and this John provides. Online will not disappoint you and it makes the program accessible to anyone. I wish you all the best in your scoliosis relief no matter what path you take, having scoliosis myself, I speak from a personal and parental perspective. "
