Sheraton Laval Hotel

Nice hotel, looks newly renovated - particularly the lobby and the washrooms. Rooms were quite roomy. Staff were polite and welcoming. Hallway was quite nosy on the 2nd floor throughout the night, but I think that was a one off situation when we mentioned it to the front desk the next day.

Do not leave your car parked here. We are here for a hockey tournament day 2 and ourselves and another team mate cars stolen. Cop confirmed last night 4 cars stolen .. the night before 3. Cop confirmed over 400 stolen from that address. We were still charged 800$ for the 3 nights we were here. Horrible customer service. Do not leave your car at this hotel It is not safe. Reception will tell you there is not a problem there is a HUGE problem.

Room was great - clean, tidy and the beds were comfortable. Security walking through the building and on floors to ensure everyone was following the rules. Only recommendation - management should post warning signs alerting guests to remove all personal belongings from their vehicles due to an influx of vehicle thefts in Montreal and from their parking lot. 6 cars stolen in 2 days while we were there for a tournament. We decided to leave a day early and accepted the $200/night charge as it was cheaper then possibly not having our car the next morning. Advised by management and front desk staff - its not their responsibility. If you are looking for a place to stay in Montreal - perhaps call ahead to see what additional anti-theft deterrents the hotels may have in place: gates, outdoor guards, one hotel provides guests with wheel locks. We just came back from San Francisco - prior to our departure from Canada, the hotel management emailed our group lead advising of "smash and grabs" occurring throughout the city. Arrived at the hotel - signage everywhere.

AUTO THEFT DANGER!! - Hotel is nice, recently renovated clean and good overall. I was also there for a Hockey tournament, this past weekend and Parked my vehicle under security cam / next to the building. Saturday night my car was stolen, as were several other cars from the parking lot. BE AWARE. They used electronics to gain access and drove away disabling the native GPS so I could not track it. Hiding a tracking device or AirTAG on your vehicle recommended!!!! After expressing my disappointment in the stay and experience with the theft - "LNADER" the floor manager on duty 5/22/23 did the right thing and credited my stay. THANK YOU TO HER - Understanding it is not the hotel's "Fault" however their loss of revenue will generate pressure to be placed on the Landlords / Mall security and local police...... there have been over 400 thefts at that location in recent months. SImply - please be aware and PROTECT YOUR VALUABLES.
