Deciding to attend IHN was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Between the well-rounded curriculum, the quality of the teachers, and the warm, welcoming philosophy of the school, it was a great experience. And most important of all, it gave me the tools I needed to build a busy, rewarding private practice. It has been 11 years since graduating from IHN, and my practice has grown tremendously. I use the concepts of Symptomatology as a base for every new client. I've learned over the years that the body really does talk!

If you are considering becoming a nutritionist and you are looking for an amazing experience with a reputable and incredible institution, look no further. I have had the honour of completing the CNP program at IHN - and I can tell you it's been the best experience of my life. If I could give more stars I would but Google only has a five star option :) From start to finish, my experience with IHN has been phenomenal. Jason Madden (Program Advisor) is a true representation/introduction to IHNs awesomeness. Hes so humble, kind, encouraging and genuine. I remember my first interaction with him as being so positive as he has a way of connecting with people in such a meaningful way. His love for the program/school is evident and when I was trying to decide if IHN was a fit for me, I knew in one conversation with him that if I took a chance on the program I would never regret it. Jason is always pleasant, uplifting and supportive. As your Program Advisor, he's always someone you can count on to help you through any questions or hurdles you may have - and he truly cares for people (which you will see when you speak to him). He's also so inspiring as he is the perfect example of someone who followed his passion and is helping others find theirs. Jenn-Marie in administration/book store is truly an angel. She's always a ray of sunshine in every interaction and she makes you feel right at home. She always goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. She's inspiring, supportive and always there to help in any way she can. Every single teacher at IHN is so lovely, professional and incredibly intelligent. If you want to learn from the best of the best, IHN is your school. Each teacher has their own way of connecting with the class and even though I studied online, I felt their support whenever I needed it. They really make you want to be the very best as a student of nutrition/future nutritionist because they are exactly that way. You can also tell they want you to succeed and they will do whatever they can to help. The Herb Walk with Dr. Smulders was truly delightful. Being with her and seeing her passion and knowledge for all the herbs had me smiling from ear to ear the entire time. I felt this walk was one of the highlights of the program as we had a chance to see the many herbs that surround us here locally and learn about their many uses. I would redo the whole program again just to get to this herb walk, honestly - as it was nothing short of amazing. I feel like I learned a couple of months of herbal knowledge during that walk and I left there feeling empowered by all the plant knowledge that I could share with my loved ones. Thank you Dr. Smulders for making this walk a memorable one.

I would give this program 4.5 stars actually. It's an amazing program and I like how all the courses are very compact! Most of the teachers are extremely helpful and if they can't help I find the program co-ordinator, Jason Madden, to be extremely supportive and accommodating. The only two things I would like is if there was different payment options/ability for funding. You can't get OSAP or government funding if you take this program. I have to pay course by course since I am financially independent and I don't have consistent income so I don't have a large sum of money to drop all at once and because of that, I will end up paying more. Also as a performance artist of 10+ years and getting back into academics, I find some of the courses a bit too dryly taught for someone with ADHD who needs a bit more engagement. But I am taking all of the courses online so perhaps that is why. Overall, I find I have gained so much knowledge in this program and I'm excited to continue learning with IHN and the teachers after I graduate! I particularly loved Ayurveda and Comparative Diets. And Corrie Rabbe is an AMAZING teacher. If you have Biochemistry and/or Body Metabolism with her you're blessed because she is such a caring teacher and wants everyone to succeed. Strongly recommend this program for any entrepreneurs and fitness/wellness enthusiasts.
