Best decision I made was le make the la rive the permanent home for my mother. The level of compassion and live they have for the residents surpassed all my expectations. In our worst moments they were there for us and comforting when we needed them. I didnt meet one employee who has not helped me when I needed. They have become family to us as well . The way they have taken care of my mother is beyond amazing. Each and every one from nurses to the helpers have gone above and beyond to make my mother and us as well to be happy and with a smile of their faces. Khadija the chef nurse , always ready to listen to my censors and willing to find solution. They r never too busy to listen and to confort. There r so many of them to thank , maria the nurse, farine, Amel, the other maria is is our ray of sunshine , who will always make my mother smile and react. Zoha , alma, hilda and so many of them. Those amazing ladies make this place great. They work from their heart and they dont spare any live to the residents. For us , u guys r superhero s

Unfortunately, my mother did not have the opportunity to receive the care of these warm and empathetic employees since she died, nearly a week after her admission to this CHSLD, due to her illness. The emotional support they gave the family and the care and empathy they showed for my dying mother will always be appreciated. From the start, the warm welcome has never been seen from us at any other residence where my mother has lived. The hugs and good wishes made my mother very happy and reassured us that she would be taken care of properly. Thank you to everyone my mother and we, her children, had the pleasure of meeting. My mother left this world with dignity, respect and peace. Thank you to all the nurses and attendants who regularly entered her room and cuddled her as she slowly passed away. We are grateful to you. Malheureusement, ma mre n'a pas eu l'occasion de recevoir les soins de ces employs chaleureux et empathiques puisqu'elle est dcde, prs d'une semaine aprs son admission dans ce CHSLD,en raison de sa maladie. Le soutien motionnel qu'ils ont apport la famille ainsi que les soins et l'empathie dont ils ont fait preuve l'gard de ma mre mourante seront toujours apprcis. Ds le dbut, l'accueil chaleureux n'a jamais t vu de notre part dans aucune autre rsidence o ma mre a vcu. Les embrassades et les souhaits de bienvenue ont rendu ma mre trs heureuse et nous ont conforts dans l'ide qu'on s'occuperait d'elle comme il se doit. Merci tous ceux que ma mre et nous, ses enfants, avons eu le plaisir de rencontrer. Ma mre a quitt ce monde dans la dignit, le respect et la paix. Merci toutes les infirmires et prposes qui sont entres rgulirement dans sa chambre et l'ont caresse pendant qu'elle s'teignait doucement. Nous vous sommes reconnaissants.

If I could I would even give this centre a 0 rating. Our loved one was in this residence for 4 months in the unit for patients requiring additional care due to Alzheimer's , dementia etc., and it was the worst months for our family. We would arrive to find our family member bent over in half in his chair, crying from pain for several weeks, we would ask basic questions to the staff, and for the most part they could never answer any of our questions (example: whether he ate that day or was washed etc.), we made several formal complaints that were clearly not dealt with because the issue would occur more than once, and this is just a short list of many issues.. I truly would not wish my worst enemy to have an experience like we did. In this unit in particular, they did nothing to stimulate the patients, no music, they hardly talked to the patients, it is truly a sad place. Our family has witnessed things that we will never be able to forget and it is because of this centre and places like this that the CHSLD's have such a horrible stigma. So before placing your loved one here, please please, consider another place if you can. I have posted this picture so people can see the sad truth of what happens. This picture is the least shocking that I have but I also didn't want to stun anyone anymore than they have to.
