Purchased One $12,000+ MF3651 Liebherr Freezer 36", and One $11,000+ MRB3600 Liebherr Fridge 36". The Good: + They "look" expensive (wish they performed like a low end fridge in terms of reliability). + You won't find these fridges in 99% of homes, so they are unique (I guess no ones else is dumb enough to drop $25K on a fridge and freezer to buy them LOL) The Bad: - They are not reliable (regardless that they cost 2x as much as a Miele / Thermador / Signature Series etc). - 1st service call (3 months into ownership) for the Fruit and Vegetable drawers that was freezing the vegetables (despite the temperature setting being at the highest warm setting). Service was done over the phone with me(I'm not kidding you), where I was given a secret service menu to enter to over ride some standard settings. This is a $11K plus fridge, and I'm performing a doohicky manual entry cheat code to trick the fridge into backing off the "coldness" temperature so as not to damage vegetables with freezer burn. - 2nd service call for the same problem (roughly within the 4th month of ownership), Fruit and Vegetable drawer would cause freezer burn to vegetables. This time I had to wait a week to have a redesigned part / computer / panel sent from Liebherr Canada to my home town service center where the technician came two days later to swap out: panel, insulation, computer board, back plate. It looked like they had to redesign the original flawed design with a new and revised design (I guess they ran out of R&D when designing a $11K+ fridge before sending it out to manufacture lmao). - Fridge interior door lights would occasionally not work when opening the door, or sometime would turn on when opening the door then flicker and turn off. Hmm. Never a good sign when you can't get an interior door light to work properly. I guess they ran out of $ on R&D when selling an $11K+ fridge to get the interior lighting to work reliably. - 3rd service call (roughly 6 months into ownership) the fridge completely stopped functioning (on a Wednesday Night). Service call was placed next day, but unfortunately they had no parts in stock in my home town to support for an $11K+ fridge (I guess it didn't cost enough to warrant local inventory). - Took 4 days for parts to be shipped from Ontario to Quebec (yeah, I don't get that one) factoring in Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (hey, Amazon ships every day of the week). Service center is closed on weekends (why would they be paid to be open to offer service on an $11K+ fridge), so I had most of my fridge contents spoiled and/or given away to a local food shelter. - Wednesday Night fridge died, and the first service date is late Tuesday morning (hasn't happened yet at the time of writing this review), that's one week. The Ugly: - The Liebherr service center in Ontario doesn't care, if they did they would of shipped parts next day and put everything in there favor (how about AM Fedex Delivery from T.O. to MTL). Oh... No budget for a customer who dropped $11K+ on a fridge, or simply you don't care. - The Service center in my home town doesn't care, otherwise they would of planned (they knew the part was coming from Toronto on Thursday at 8:00am when the technician ordered the part for the Liebherr fridge) to get the part on Friday and dispatched a technician that day given the fact that this is after all an $11K+ fridge. You could say, priced like a Mercedes Benz, but serviced like a used econo appliance purchased at a thrift store. You couldn't make a worse decision that purchasing a Liebherr product. You won't get the backing and support like when you buy from a large retailer like Costco, so you are on your own (like a Ponzi scheme, left empty handed) because Liebherr retailers are just outlets selling drop shipped Liebherr appliances on commission.
