Aggressive employee intimidates 4 & 6 year old kids; recalcitrant owner does nothing. I have never hired this company and I certainly never will; my hope as a parent is that you won't either after reading this review. I was driving home today at 2:00 pm when I was about one block from my house when I had to stop at an intersection as an employee of Paysagiste M. L. was moving some pallets with a fork lift. The load was visibly unstable and sure enough the operator lost control and it collapsed on the street. He was obviously annoyed with the situation, but then he started cursing at me, as if it was somehow my fault. So I opened the door and asked "C'est quoi le problme?" only to be answered by more cursing, to which I responded in kind. This is when the employee moved the forklift to the middle of the street so I couldn't pass and started driving towards me. I had my wife and 4 & 6 year old kids in the car (which he clearly SAW), and while I was in two minds about what I was going to do next, I quickly realized that an altercation was going to be a lose-lose situation for me. So I did what most of you would do, I flipped him the bird and started backing up to make the detour. This guy gets out of the fork lift, picks up a piece of ice, and throws it at my car (misses) and then chases me and manages to punch the back of my truck (no damage to the truck; his fist I'm not so sure). I'd normally just drive off and write the bloke off as whatever, but my wife and kids were involved so now he's put me in a position where I have to do something. So I called the police and filed a report and the cops were cool, they were fast on the scene and they did their job fully well, but said since there was no damage the only action I could take was to pursue him in small claims court for moral anguish, to get a monetary award. While I might still do that, I would have much preferred to work things out with the owner of the business, so I called him to tell him what had happened. To my surprise, he confirmed he was the other employee on the scene and was fully aware of the situation, and had also spoken to the police. While he did apologize for the situation, I explained that I can't accept my wife and kids feeling intimidated in our own neighbourhood. He asked me what I wanted, so I told him I didn't want to see the aggressive employee in my neighbourhood again. At first he said it would be the employee's last day on the job, but when I pressed for it in writing, he said he wouldn't do that. He later back tracked and said that it was both our faults because when I opened my car door "I said something he didn't understand". These are the facts ladies and gentlemen, now you can decide for yourselves whether this is a business you want to support in our community.
