My father is 93 years old, has great difficulty moving around but needs a new hearing aid. We took care to mention these difficulties to the receptionist when making the appointment, set for 9:45 a.m. on March 13. After long preparations to be able to get my father out of the house, we arrived at 9.50 am. The receptionist then tells us that the appointment was at 9:40 am, that we are 10 minutes late and that it is no longer possible to see the audioprosthetist. With Soviet zeal, she repeated: "She won't see you." I was appalled. I didn't know whether to scream my frustration or cry. The receptionist's decision to fire my dad was absolutely CRUEL.
