Fourrure Jackalope

We were very happy to meet Mathieu and to see the shop. He showed us the pelts processed from the very beginning to the finished product, and we were able to see many different kinds of fur. We really like the items we bought and were glad to be able to support a local business doing great work! A year later, we visited Mathieu to bring a friend and he fixed some buttons that had gotten loose on some pillows that we bought. After enjoying the furs that we bought for a year now we haven't seen anything that compares to his work anywhere. He is keeping an amazing tradition alive, and the fur products he makes are truly unique! Thanks Mathieu!

Mathieu tanned a coyote pelt for us. The quality was amazing. I have several other pieces of fur tanned but none compare to Mathieu's work.

First off, before I get into the review of our SHORT Mittens for snowmobile handmade with real Beaver fur and leather, Tom Oar mittens style, Canada we purchased from FourrureJackalope, I have to say a HUGE thanks to both Eloise and Mathieu for all their help and patience as we had a lot of questions regarding sizing; we ended up ordering a size large. Our emails were responded to within a few minutes, were very helpful and most of all, we didnt feel as if they were being bothered with what Im sure seemed like dumb questions. Our biggest reason why we choose to buy from FourrureJackalope is, number one, to support our local Canadian business BUT especially because FourrureJackalope has fantastic reviews (both on Google and Etsy) from very satisfied customers; this made us feel more at ease that our purchase was from a reputable company. Purchased on August 10, 2021 via PayPal; awaited for the mittens to be handmade! On August 13th I received an email Electronic information submitted by shipper and on the 17th my mittens were processed by Canada Post with an accurate tracking number. Received on August 19th! The sizing was perfect for my wifes hands! The handmade craftsmanship and materials are all high quality. The stitching is even and the thread seems to be high quality. The beaver fur is a high-grade quality; it has beautiful colouring, is dense and supple. The inside, real sheepskin lining of the mittens, is definitely soft. Eloise and Mathieu are very personable and obviously care about their customers and product. Since were in sweltering August heat and humidity, Ill update my review when the real cold weather hits! But thus far, we love the mittens and customer care! Jan 2022 update: tried in -26 degrees Celsius and my wife's hands and thumb were toasty warm! She loves them!!
